Course Description

Recommended Prior Learning

Year 11 Fabrics or TIC approval.


Fashion Design

Students will explore the Textiles and Fashion industry and realise both the positive and negative effects it has on our environment and society. Students will develop a garment for a chosen ‘Fashion Victim’, design and make a shirt and further their skills in formal sewing techniques and also explore creative design through fashion.

Costs

Rutherford College aims to deliver educational courses over and above that which is funded by the Ministry, however parental contribution for the costs of trips and activities where participation is optional, and/or components not covered by the Government grant may be requested, and we appreciate the financial support our families make to the School.
