Gained at least 10 credits from 11EL3 or by discussion with HOF.


English Language

This course is only for ESL students and will teach English language at an upper-intermediate level of proficiency. The course will cover the four skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. Special attention will be given to further development of conventions in writing: language features and accuracy (grammar and syntax). Critical reading and academic literacy skills are the focus of the course where 4 of the English for Academic Purposes (Level 3) standards will be covered in preparation for year 13 EAP course. Students will be able to meet Literacy co-requisites in both Reading and Writing.
